SlideSnap turns slides and notes you upload into flashcards and quizzes. This page explains what data it uses and why.

Your account

You sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and store them to run your account, your free-plan limit and your subscription. We never see your Google password.

What SlideSnap reads

SlideSnap only reads the files you upload or the text you paste. Files are read in your browser, and only their text is sent to our server.

What is sent to our server

• The text from the slides or notes you upload, so flashcards and questions can be written.
• Your session, so we know which account is making the deck.

Our server forwards the text to Anthropic's Claude AI model to generate the flashcards, then returns the result to you. We don't store your slide text or flashcards on our server. Anthropic processes the text under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train models on this data by default.

What stays on your computer

Your decks and quiz progress are saved in your browser on your device. You can delete any deck in SlideSnap, or clear them by clearing your browser's site data.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from the account menu in SlideSnap, or by emailing us. Cancel any subscription first.

Payments

If you upgrade to Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. SlideSnap never sees your card details. We store your Stripe customer ID and whether your subscription is active.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't use your data for anything other than making your study decks.
• We don't track your browsing history.
